Gross domestic product (GDP) in volume* fell slightly in the fourth quarter of 2024: it fell by 0.1%, after +0.4% in the third quarter, partly due to the backlash from the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games which supported growth in the third quarter. Final domestic demand (excluding inventories) slows slightly, in the wake of household consumption (+0.4% after +0.6%). As for gross fixed capital formation, it is almost stable (-0.1% after -0.3%).
