Canadian industries operated at 79.1% of their production capacity in the second quarter, up slightly from 78.6% in the first quarter of 2024, which was revised up slightly by 0.1 percentage point. Capacity utilization in the mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction sector rose 1.6 percentage points to 77.2% in the second quarter.
