Exports of Copper Waste and Scrap Down 11% in 2019

The latest U.S. Census Bureau data suggests notable decline in exports of copper waste and scrap by the country during 2019. The exports dipped lower by 11.14% over the previous year. The U.S. copper waste and scrap exports totalled $2.83 billion during the previous year. China continued to remain as the top export destination. Almost 14.48% of the yearly U.S. exports were to China. The exports to China totalled $409.4 million, down by more than 62% year-on-year. The second largest importer was Malaysia, which accounted for 14.47% of the U.S. shipments. The U.S. exports to Malaysia totalled $409.14 million. In third ... (full story)
