The seasonally adjusted index for Australia rose 0.5% in the March quarter 2019 and the trend index rose 0.6%. In seasonally adjusted terms, the Private sector wage price index rose 0.5% and the Public sector index rose 0.4%. The highest index rise at an industry level (in original terms) was recorded in Transport, postal and warehousing and Education and training (0.7%). Seven industries recorded the same lowest quarterly rate of wage growth of 0.2%.
