Brexit negotiators failed to break the deadlock after a weekend of intense talks, ramping up the chances that a key summit this week will end in acrimony as time to clinch a deal runs short. Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab made a surprise trip to Brussels on Sunday to see chief European Union negotiator Michel Barnier. But "some key issues" remain unresolved, Barnier said afterwards. In a clear sign of the lack of progress, a meeting of EU governments scheduled for Monday was cancelled, several diplomats said, and there will be no more negotiations before leaders meet on Wednesday.
