In April 2024, DG ECFIN’s flash estimate of the consumer confidence indicator2 remained stable in the EU and broadly stable in the euro area (±0.0 percentage points (pps.) and +0.2 pps. compared to March, respectively). At -15.2 (EU) and -14.7 (euro area) points, consumer confidence still scores well below the long-term average. This month's Flash CCI for the EU aggregate is computed on the basis of consumer survey data from 25 EU count.
