According to preliminary results from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), retail companies in Germany had 1.9% less real (price-adjusted) and 1.8% less nominal (not price-adjusted) sales in February 2024 than in January 2024. In comparison Compared to February 2023, the retail sector recorded a decline in sales of 2.7% in real terms and 0.4% in nominal terms.
