German service sector also on course for growth in May, high price pressure persists stubborn though

As the current evaluations indicate, the upward trend in the German service sector continued in May thanks to renewed demand. In combination with the increasing costs due to rising wages, this, however, means persistently high price pressure across the sector. Meanwhile, the business prospects for the third month in a row were less optimistic within the year. The corresponding index fell to its lowest value since the beginning of the year.
