The U.S. Census Bureau announced the following international trade, wholesale inventories, and retail inventories advance statistics for August 2022: {table} The international trade deficit was $87.3 billion in August, down $2.9 billion from $90.2 billion in July. Exports of goods for August were $179.8 billion, $1.7 billion less than July exports. Imports of goods for August were $267.1 billion, $4.6 billion less than July imports.
