Thank you for inviting me to speak at the Brussels Economic Forum. I am honored to be giving the Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa lecture. It is fitting that our discussions today focus on building the economy of the next generation, given the uncertainty about the future of the global economy inherent in the present geopolitical context.
