Chile-focused miner Antofagasta (ANTO:LSE) said today that its copper production in 2021 was 721,500 tonnes, within the guidance range and 1.7% lower than last year, mainly on expected higher grades at Centinela Concentrates, offset by expected lower grades and lower throughput at Los Pelambres. The company added that its gold production for the full year was 252,200 ounces, 23.6% higher than in 2020 on higher grades at Centinela, whereas quarterly production decreased by 2.8% to 64,900 ounces on lower throughput at Los Pelambres.
