Italy's manufacturing sector remained on a strong growth footing in November, according to the latest PMI® data. Factory production rose at the fastest pace since June amid a stronger expansion of new work, with firms commenting on improved client demand. Meanwhile, capacity pressures remained unprecedented, with firms taking on staff at a near record pace as a result. That said, growth was again held back by supply issues, amid widespread reports of shortages and logistical problems, which continued to pass through to surging cost pressures.
