Colombia’s copper output set to surge: Mine agency

Colombia expects its copper output to jump more than tenfold to 100,000t/yr by 2025 as new projects come on line amid a government drive to tap into new mineral resources, according to the country's mining agency. "Copper is a mineral whose demand in the world is going to increase several times over in the coming years," mining agency director Juan Miguel Duran told Japanese investors in an online seminar organized by ANM and the Japanese embassy.
