In February 2021, German exports were up 0.9% and imports 3.6% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis compared with January 2021. Based on provisional data, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, after calendar and seasonal adjustment, exports were 2.1% lower than in February 2020, the month before restrictions were imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
