The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) published the domestic raw steel production data for the most recent week. In accordance with the weekly data, the U.S. domestic raw steel production totalled 1.240 million net tons in the week ending on June 27, 2020. This compares with the production of 1.863 million net tons in the corresponding week a year before and 1.224 million net tons during the prior week. The weekly output was down substantially by 33.4% over the year, whereas it edged higher slightly by 1.3% from the previous week.
