Right--it was a broad generalization. Almost nothing about trading is cut and dry. Signals should be treated as probability indicators, and used with appropriate stops, imo.

Good traders have mental flexibility. If I start with a scalp but see a prompt, strong move in a favorable direction, I switch to using a trailing stop and let it run.
