On the first day of each month draw a horizontal line from the daily high and low extended to the right. What jmn6511 is saying that within that month, price will break through either the high or low 100% of the time. Now in terms of strategy, I'm ...

I'm well aware that results will vastly differ per person depending on skill, risk tolerance, experience, etc. I've just never seen or heard someone give a monthly/yearly percentage return on their account that wasn't trying to sell something (and ...

Hey Rocky, Would you mind sharing what your average monthly/yearly return has been since you made the jump to full time trading? It would be nice to hear an honest answer from someone that isn't trying to sell something and that's been doing this ...

Best hours to trade would be from 12AM-9AM Pacific time. London session opens up at 12AM and then the market really starts to dry up when London closes and it's lunch time in New York. If you are day trading I recommend focusing on the pairs with ...

Hello RickM, I'm just curious about the inside bars since that was the first set up I used when I got into trading. Which timeframe performed best for them from your testing?

Rocky, you can correct me if I'm wrong here but I think too many people are spending time focusing on indicators here. Truthfully, I don't even think you really use the indicators on your chart aside from maybe the moving average lol. I think people ...

I'd say if you have enough data points and reach a 90% win probability that it's more on the investing side instead of gambling. Sounds like you're a pretty active day trader/scalper so I'm sure you have thousands of entries/exits to build an ...

Hello RickM. I respectfully disagree on how you categorize investing and gambling here. IMO gambling becomes investing once the the odds of you making money are greater than 50/50 (assuming an even payout). I don't think attaching a time factor ...

It could be that in your demo account you didn't factor in spreads, commissions and slippage. Those are HUGE factors that need to be taken into account, especially for scalping.

IMO gambling becomes investing once you have a positive expectancy when entering a trade. I don't believe casinos gamble despite the fact that some only have a 0.3% edge in blackjack. The second you become a talented card counter in blackjack, to me ...

So true and there's been a growing rate of 6:5 blackjack payouts instead of 3:2, which is straight robbery lol. But even if there were still 1 deck games, without any kind of advantage play such as counting or hole carding, EVERY SINGLE player will ...

I think you're missing the point of this thread lol. I think a better approach would be having an indicator that measures the bar to the ATR. So for example, maybe have an arrow appear if the bar is "X" percent lower than the ATR.

Here's the issue with what you're suggesting though. With blackjack, you have a 0% chance to make money in the long run without counting, hole carding, etc. There won't be a single player in the world that would make money in the long run. I'm ...

The issue with blackjack is you may know there's a good chance that the dealer is gonna bust and you win, but you already have your bets on the table before knowing what the dealer has. If you're playing blackjack without counting cards, I believe ...
