Or fall out of the nest?

Both Gold and Silver are getting pummelled, I'm not sure why yet apart from profit taking but the magnitude of the drop in Silver is quite large.

Fantastic, I was already long USDJPY and had just picked up CHFJPY. Now to sit and wait to see if we get a follow through after the data releases.

I was also long from 87 stop at 59. Beautiful huddle of hammer bars at a support zone. Sexy little breakout, pullback scenario. And we now have a little confirmation with a break above 6100.

Or the 100 EMA on the daily, which give or take a bit of noise is the same thing

Ha nice one, me too, same reason plus an interaction with the 500 EMA on the 4H.

I have a general question for all you veterans here. For those of you that employ automated systems, how much do you use them against your own discretionary trades? Do you perform minor hedging operations or cancel positions altogether?

I personally think the 1H chart is by far the most coherent on all currency pairs but there are plenty of people who like trading as low as the minutely. @ gator I too am interested in why you chose to cut your short at 46, it was a nice call. Are ...

I've just entered short again at 72 with a tight stop at 97. Just a small punt before I go to bed which I should have done two hours ago. If it gets taken on.ut then I'm not sure what my next play is.

So.. We have a little break caused by general dollar strength tonight. USDJPY is of course completely static. Slight tangent but it will be interesting to see if that storms out of it's 35 point range or just crawl over the border. Unfortunately I ...

Not yet, I'd like to wait until the setup matures before resuming my short view. The dollar could continue to gain a bit of strength today and possibly tomorrow.

I knew there was a reason I was holding a long here. I am medium to long term bullish in the CHF, this is just an attempt at catching a counter trend move. This 50 point jump was unexpected though. I would ideally like to hold to 8450ish. I like the ...

They've failed to read the entire sentence. You say NOT 100%, they've read 100%.

Wait let me guess... 50% of the drop on the daily chart right? I'm happy with a more modest 4410 target. I have a tight stop and I've already taken the first leg on the euro. I hope it sails right through

Where does your 4453 level come from?
- 17121712 replied May 30, 2011
I'm not necessarily considering this late. I was long the euro against two currencies for the first pop up this asian session. I did miss Friday's move because I botched my entry So your strategy is to expect a retrace back below 4300 before ...

Hey Tania. I also have a set of lines like yours but spaced further apart. I was long the euro against AUD and JPY up until about 30 mins ago. I watched EURUSD react off the nearest line but I'm not expecting it to stop there. I'm long from 4332 ...

Yeah the termination of these moves are often quite arbitrary which is what makes finding the entry on shock days so tough. On that day I took that first leg down but merely because the previous evening I had a view to go short but only when I was ...

There was something I wanted to ask also. I have attached a quick 15M snapshot from the two days following the quake. The first spike upwards here was shortly after the earthquake hit. We then see a severe shift to the downside. Is the standard ...

I'm not losing or anything, it's simply one of those trades where when the market goes completely sideways and you can't figure out if your view has been nullified yet. I scaled out 60% of my position at a small distance from BE.
