Thanks XTrade. My day scalp was pretty uneventful. Got out at 1163.53 for a grand profit of US$17.50. Looking to short again now.

I did okay shorted 1190.22 and took it out at 1161.38. Still have 2x shorts in play and in profit but will let them run longer term. Scalping now - Long 1161.78. Yet to decide where to take it out. Maybe around 1172-75.

Finally — been doing ok. I am learning to read my graphs (and everyone elses) more accurately and taking the emotion out). Scalped yesterday 1189.73 to 1194.72 and shorted at 1190.22 (letting this one run to 1154). Shorted oil at 7793 and that ...

Financial News — Financial news as copied below (from zero hedge). In the most surprising news of the weekend (so far), the IMF and the EU effectively suspended Hungary's access to the remaining funds in a $25 billion rescue loan package ...

I'm holding my longs. US earnings forecasts starts next week: consensus: meet or above expectations with super careful guidance. I think there will be an anticipation rally and this will keep the dollar strong and gold steady to upward, hopefully to ...

Yes, I'm long at 1193.41 and still have my other 5 longs in at above 1225 - 1244.5. Am sweating a bit here I have to admit.

XTrade — I sent you a PM but my "sent items" says 0. So not sure if I did it correctly.

Trading the markets fullstop fascinates me. If you think about how many different systems traders follow avidly, it’s a wonder anyone makes money, let alone a living. Some just trade stocks, which in theory is the guts of the indicies, then there ...

Thanks Xtrader - I do have some knowledge and trade reading charts (or trying to), fundamentals, and ichimoku elements. I guess we are always learning and re-freshing all the time. My cousin in America is a big time trader and has been trying to ...

Ah you mean 1239.7 being support?

Thank you - your explanations are clear and make sense. I changed to the line chart and see clearly a tight range - very little movement. I do see a wedge for breakout in either directions. (1H) Am I missing something else?

I guess I've been hanging on watching the currencies and MM come down and hoping fear will give our gold a kick start.

XTrade — Are you expecting it to break the 1H uptrend line? I've noticed gold coming down with the currencies and main markets? I'm a bit nervous with my longs. Have 2 in profit.

Looking much better now, although the 50 and 100 MA's are proving to be a wee hurdle. Some hesitation here. Hopefully a good 1H close.

Fullhouse I spoke to you last night and you replied with a USD/CAD set points (your opinion). I got a great short in today and jumped out at 1.05645 and now have a quick long in very short term. Just to remind you, I am the trader that has a crap ...

First time poster in your thread — Hi guys - I guess we take whatever we want from everyone's opinion and then make our own trading conclusion. I have been following fullhouse's views for a few days because I'm actively trading USD/CAD myself ...

Yikes Alright!!! I just don't have a "feel" for gold at the moment. Have a long pending at 1200 but in theory it should rally with world unrest, especially after the last 12 hours trading. However, with the MM drop gold usually comes down with them. ...

Xtrade - thank you for your information and clarity todate. As an aside, my next question is, if there is an eventual default in any of the EU countries, I've read this could have a bearish effect on gold. How does this work? I have to get some ...
