Corrections take time is all that is going on. "They" notwithstanding. Same thing with Gold.

I just see choppy sloppy correction with obviously both buying & selling.

At the time I posted it and based on you mentioning H1 timeframe:- image Of course on higher timeframe it is bullish. No further comment on MA's or EMA's.

Order flow, MP, VP, watching other metals, support and resistance, trendlines, fib levels are all good. MA's trash. But unless the trend is followed, or one is only looking for very quick counter-trend trades (not my preference at all), the rest is ...

Silver topped on Friday, retraced half back or so till yesterday evening, then resumed intraday downtrend. Why go long?

$DXY strength finally brought about a (one day or will it be more?) correction. I'd say likely few more days at least.

With daily and weekly aligned to the upside, the past few days pullback (triangle) is expected to likely be broken to the upside. TWT meanwhile ... FOMC this week, so markets will likely wait for Powell's news conference on Wednesday before any big ...

Gold has been a mixed picture last few weeks (really last few months) but IMO this past weekly close is now aligned with bullish daily phase. Even still I'm not believer just yet until there is follow through next week.

Thursday/Friday daily bars both were Inside of Wednesday's bar and for the full week it was contained Inside the prior week's range. Prolly waiting on next FOMC meeting taking place this week/Wednesday afternoon. As well as NFP report on Friday ...

Just noticed monthly bar is an Inside Bar, weekly too and today's daily candlebody is inside yesterday's. Might a big move be setting up? TWT

IMO weekly is still pointing down but daily came close on Friday to turning up. Maybe Monday it will move higher enough for me to believe daily trend has changed to up, maybe? Now if it instead turns back down then following chart with EW count/ Fib ...

Possibly, but this is what it did last year during the 15 days leading up to celebration:- image

Welp, up move didn't last long - with $DXY strengthening to start new week.
- SunTrader replied Jan 11, 2024
For the time being price continues lower but momentum is slowing, so I could see it going either way. Although if I had to choose I'd say up. But I don't so I'll just wait a trade setup to come along. Like if price breaks and closes outside either ...

The time to sell was last Friday after it closed below the low of the high bar day - with stop one tick above the high of high bar day (hope that is clear - see chart image):- image

New trading year for Gold appears to be in correction mode of prior mid-end Dec swing up May not be much downside. Ends of year are not typically points of trend change, though no reason why it can't. TWT

Today a repeat of yesterday's Inside Bar (so far) . Likely to continue like this, unless a fund or two does a "sneak" breakout over holidays. Merry Xmas all, shutting it down later on and travelling till next week, at least.

Tuesday was an up close bullish bar but today again is an Inside Bar (up to this point) - more mild volatility action. Maybe a couple of big funds might throw price around soon, otherwise maybe not much to watch next week or so?
- SunTrader replied Dec 19, 2023
Yesterday was an Inside Day, today so far is the same. Might be getting ready to breakup or breakdown? Although approaching holidays might be tamping down volatility somewhat, so it may takes some time before a definitive move starts.
