German production in July 2024: -2.4% compared to the previous month
According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector fell by 2.4% in July 2024 compared to June 2024, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects. In the less volatile three-month comparison, production from May 2024 to July 2024 was 2.7% lower than in the previous three months. In June 2024, production rose by 1.7% compared to May 2024 after revision of the preliminary results (preliminary value: +1.4%).
