They've been barking for the last 4 years what are you talking about.

Jan 06 2020 - Price opened at 108.110
Jul 11 2024 - Price is currently 158.406

Even if they dropped it right now 1,000 pips that would still be such a small correction in just the last 4 years.

Until BoJ changes policies and other CB start reducing rates dramatically I still see JPY getting kicked around in the future.

The Japanese family economy is very good. The Japanese are not poor. They are just people who are afraid to spend money and face great deflation.

The depreciation of the yen is in addition to interest rate differentials. Also being overly shorted. The current reasonable price of the yen should be 151.

Most Japanese company bosses want the yen to be at 140. As for why it reaches 161.9. Everyone knows what's going on.

What I'm saying is the markets don't fear the BoJ like they once did. I don't know what price they deem reasonable for their economy at this point but obviously a weaker yen has been beneficial for them. I don't even consider this stepping in until this hits back around the 150 region. All of these pairs against JPY are due for some sort of correction but it has been just an endless bull market against JPY so once again the markets don't fear them especially when they were jawboning for weeks/months while watching prices crater and keep repeating the same thing about the markets should reflect fundamentals and blah blah blah.

But i am sure that Dxy is not strong. It mean UJ is going down .
