Gold and Silver Rise on Thursday, Sept. 22
Platinum declined on Thursday while gold, silver and palladium gained. Gold’s increase was its second in a row after ending at a more than 29.5-month low on Tuesday. Gold for December delivery climbed $5.40, or 0.3%, to settle at $1,681.10 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Gold futures traded between $1,663.30 and $1,693.50. They edged 0.3% higher on Wednesday, they lost 0.4% on Tuesday, for their lowest close since April 3, 2020, and they shed 0.3% on Monday.
