UK trade: April 2021
Total imports of goods, excluding precious metals, increased by £1.4 billion (3.9%) in April 2021, with increases seen with both non-EU and EU countries. Increasing imports of goods with non-EU countries were driven by non-ferrous metals and crude oil, while increases with EU countries were driven by general miscellaneous manufactures. Monthly goods imports from non-EU countries, excluding precious metals, were the highest since records began in January 1997.
