This really has nothing to do with "patriotism", but rather it has everything to do with acknowledging and pointing to "the elephant in the room" for all to see.

If you got the money, you can do it. 3200 dislikes cost $256.
Not much for those who want to promote negativity worldwide.

the RT report is more credible now that we have witnessed an actual manipulation
https://www.rt.com/usa/519642-youtub...islikes-biden/

But what did really happen ?
Looking at this logically:

The dislikes went from 3200 to 1600, no change on the likes
1) If someone wanted to "promote negativity worldwide", why remove half the dislikes ?

2) If someone wanted to "promote positivity worldwide",
a) why remove only half the dislikes ? and
b) Why not boost the likes to be much greater than the dislikes?

3) Did someone really inject 1,600 dislikes and Youtube intervened to remove them, giving us the true values of 238 likes Vs 1600 dislikes ?
If that is the case:
a) Biden's speech is very unpopular (all Biden speeches videos on Youtube have more dislikes than likes,a reflection of his general unpopularity)
b) Youtube is pro-biden and has disabled the comments because they are all negative.

YouTube hopes that the change will engender more goodwill as cyberbullies will no longer be emboldened by amassing dislikes on their target’s content. https://nypost.com/2021/03/31/youtub...YouTube%20said.

You would have to be an idiot to not see what is going on ...

I repeat:

3) Did someone really inject 1,600 dislikes and Youtube intervened to remove them, giving us the true values of 238 likes Vs 1600 dislikes ?
If that is the case:
a) Biden's speech is very unpopular (all Biden speeches videos on Youtube have more dislikes than likes,a reflection of his general unpopularity)
b) Youtube is pro-biden and has disabled the comments because they are all negative.

And now Youtube will hide the dislikes for "el presidente" ..
Hilarious if it were not so frightening ...

Yah, they erected fences and barriers around the Capitol to keep the terrorists away too. Sh*t happens when abusers push the limits to see what they can get away with and how much damage and discord they can cause. In the process, unfortunately some freedoms and the norms of the society get taken away or limited and sadly, everyone loses.

Best is to stay away from manipulating people's minds and donate your $256 to some worthy charity instead.

ps: Likes also get taken away....like it or not. https://www.quora.com/Does-YouTube-d...ith-my-account

Best is not to rely on likes and dislikes and instead use your own brain to decide.

"unfortunately some freedoms and the norms of the society get taken away or limited and sadly, everyone loses."

This is the exact statement spewed out by every dictator that ever lived to justify oppression.

In my post above I was going to change

to
"You would have to be misinformed to not see what is going on ..."

I am leaving it as is ...

They put a guardrail in the middle of the street to prevent people from J-walking and to save lives.

If Ming was living there, he would be crying that his freedom to cross the road anywhere he wants is taken away and maybe even compare the act to the wall that separated Germany and cry of dictatorships.

Yes, Trumps comments have had likes n dislikes removed from them too. This has been going on for years.
You tube apparently can tell if the sources of like/dislikes are coming from random viewers or from bots and they disable the ones from bots. Unfortunately the mob like behavior seems to come from mostly from the Trump's troops cause they need to deceive people to get their points across. They are sophisticated that way. We haven't forgotten the Cambridge Analytica affair.

And yes, there are tons of unhidden comments and vid clips supporting the big kraken release that FF failed to hide. That shows how valid is their judgement of what is true or not. Just ignore their judgement cause they pretty much know nothing.

But it is part of the fun here and I actually think it is a pretty useful tool and application FF have there. Gives the place a character of its own.

It is a huge problem for the Biden camp that trump is more popular.
You will notice that the propaganda - and "solution" - around this issue started with Biden's poor record (low likes, high dislikes) for any of his apperances on social media.
In all evidence it's difficult not to think of this as just another case of blatant hypocrisy, double standard, and social media censorship.

Guys debate, argue, my take is US along with the "developed" world is at a crossroads. There are many over average intelligence contributors to this forum can also see something is amiss. "Elephant in the room" the perfect analogy.
Particularly in this area where we all have a geeky interest in. The markets are ........ Skewed in some areas many of us have formulated reasons A,B and C why and in other areas we're still scratching our heads.
I honestly believe at this moment no matter what is in charge (blue or red) the "elite" or grown ups as I call em have a simple priority just to do anything to prevent the peasants storming the winter palace.
My honest belief is that the situation is becoming more and more OUT of their control. (same here in UK*)
On the plus side whether you are a trumpeteeer or a sleepy joe fan there is OPPORTUNITY right here right now!!!!!!!
Another plus though im a bit doom and gloom in the near future I ALSO see BETTER times in the not too distant future. (well eventualy)

Love Banter

*could replace UK with a fair few other countries.

Here you are again Ming.

So lets explain to irregular readers to these threads how this game works? Shall we?
Stage 1. You make clearly untrue and provocative claim implying that somehow Ex President T is more popular than the current president despite overwhelming opinion research evidence that this is simply a lie.
Stage 2, A member reading this BS is moved to refute this claim, which is a complete wast of his time since it patently obviously untrue and you KNOW that. But its the teaser... the bait.
Stage 3 You engage your responders reply with an extended set of claims and allegations thereby developing a bickering match that allows you to kite lots of baseless theories and discredited allegations largely along well troden partisan lines.
Stage 4 An acrimonious debate develops, generating lots of heat and no light except to irritate or amuse other members .. and dog-whistle your usual suspects to support you and or you to provoke and introduce ad hominem language into what is an entirely spurious "Debate"

And if you get flashpoint.. Hey Great.. in trundles Mr Twee, and lots of CoCs get thrown around.
Which is great. Since lots of folk click in to check out the thread comments and you will have managed to generate lots of exposure for your well rehearsed platform of daft ideas. Playbook 101.

Now why Ming.. dont you go, put your feet up, relax, and instead of generating acrimony and irritating folk here with these games, and even distracting them from trading.. (to paraphrase one of Twees favorite themes) just go watch a movie study your charts and have a nice evening..
Its just an attention seeking problem.. Youll get over it.

With all due respect, you went wrong at stage 1 already.
I am the one who refutes and rebukes and disprove untrue and provocative claims when I see them. And of course I can be wrong.
So, let's address your allegations for stage 1.
Facts don't care about your beliefs.

Fact 1
Youtube is a popular channel."Likes" and "Dislikes" are a gauge of popularity.
Fact 2
ex president trump is more popular (more Likes than Dislikes) than president Biden on youtube
(easy to verify with a quick search on youtube, compare trump likes / dislikes Vs Biden likes / dislikes)
Fact 3
Here is the rating for the long awaited first press conference (poor rating)

Attached Image (click to enlarge)

Name: 2021-04-14_06h38_31.png
Size: 9 KB

Fact 4 (here it gets bizzare)
The rating mentioned above in this thread. 12hrs after the speech: Likes 238, dislikes 3.2 k
Several days later, likes: 238, dislikes 1,600
and now as of today: Likes 349, dislikes 989

Attached Image (click to enlarge)

Name: 2021-04-14_06h56_53.png

The likes are increasing, and the dislikes are decreasing ...
And BTW this is the youtube White House Channel

Fact 5
The RT report:
https://www.rt.com/usa/519642-youtub...islikes-biden/

Fact 6
The NYpost report:
https://nypost.com/2021/03/31/youtub...YouTube%20said

Fact 7:
Fact 5 and fact 6 appeared after Biden's "long awaited first press conference"

I conclude from these facts that president Biden is anything but popular on youtube (facts 2,3,4) AND there are measures that are being implemented to hide this fact on youtube (facts 5 and 6)

If Youtube is indeed a great "influencer" (fact: social media manipulation can sway public opinion), this is extremely important to anyone who invests and trades as it adds to a false exhuberance which will correct!

Now I await your findings and your proof.
Prove me wrong on these points. Your other "stages" depend on it.

Minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee

    From federalreserve.gov|Apr 7, 2021|4 comments

By unanimous vote, the Committee approved a final rule that revises its Rules Regarding Availability of Information, which are the Committee's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) rules. The revised FOIA rules, which include a range of minor and technical updates, will become effective 30 days after the forthcoming publication of the final rule in the Federal Register. Developments in Financial Markets and Open Market Operations The manager turned first to a discussion of financial market developments. In the United States, the trend toward higher longer-term yields observed in recent months accelerated over the intermeeting period, and far-forward real rates based on Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) rose considerably. Market participants highlighted an improving economic outlook, bolstered by passage of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and progress on vaccinations, as underlying the increase in yields. Model- and survey-based estimates suggested that a significant portion of the increase in yields was associated with an increase in term premiums. Higher term premiums could reflect the outlook for more expansive fiscal policy and an associated upward revision in the expected path for Treasury debt outstanding. Increased uncertainty over the outlook for longer-term interest rates as well as technical factors may also have contributed to the rise in term premiums. The Treasury market functioned well over most of the period, al though measures of market liquidity deteriorated somewhat toward the end of February. Conditions gradually improved, al though some measures of market liquidity had not fully returned to earlier levels. Rates implied by interest rate futures maturing over the next several years rose notably over the intermeeting period, reportedly reflecting a reassessment by market participants of the expected path of the target range for the federal funds rate. Since the January meeting, the date of the first increase in the target range for the federal funds rate implied by a straight read of market pricing moved notably earlier to the first quarter of 2023, and the implied target rate at the end of 2023 rose around 50 basis points. However, responses to the Open Market Desk surveys suggested more modest changes to policy rate expectations. The probability-weighted mean survey expectation for the target rate at the end of 2023 rose only around 5 basis points. Expectations for economic conditions at the time of the first increase in the target range, as measured by the Desk surveys, appeared to remain broadly consistent with the Committee's policy framework and forward guidance. Expectations from the Desk surveys for the path of asset purchases were little changed. Contacts noted that these expectations have been held steady by policymaker communications emphasizing both the need to see realized progress toward the Committee's goals and the intent to communicate well in advance of the time when progress could be judged substantial enough to warrant a change in the pace of purchases. Alongside the rise in U.S. yields, broad U.S. equity price indexes increased moderately, with the largest gains in cyclically sensitive sectors. The rise in U.S. yields was also accompanied by increases in sovereign yields in other advanced economies. Some central banks responded to these yield increases with adjustments to operations; others suggested that the rising yields reflected improvements in the outlook. The deputy manager discussed the evolution of the Federal Reserve's balance sheet and related developments in money markets. Reserve balances rose more than $400 billion, on net, over the intermeeting period to $3.7 trillion, while Treasury bills outstanding decreased more than $200 billion. Against this backdrop, the effective federal funds rate softened modestly, while repurchase agreement (repo) rates declined to a greater extent. Moreover, market participants projected that reserves would grow at a historically rapid pace in coming months, reflecting continued expansion of the Federal Reserve's balance sheet along with a projected drawdown in the balances maintained in the Treasury General Account. Market contacts suggested that continued rapid expansion of reserves could put further downward pressure on money market rates. The deputy manager noted that the earliest and most pronounced pressure was likely to be observed in overnight secured financing markets, and there could be increasing usage of the overnight tweet at 2:03pm: FOMC: DESPITE A STRENGTHENING ENVIRONMENT, PARTICIPANTS CONCLUDED THAT THE UNITED STATES STOOD DISTANT FROM THE FED'S OBJECTIVES. tweet at 2:04pm: FOMC: SEVERAL PARTICIPANTS STRESSED THE VALUE OF COMMUNICATING PROGRESS LONG AHEAD OF ANY POSSIBLE QE TAPER; PACING WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE ECONOMY AND THE RATE OF PROGRESS. tweet at 2:11pm: FOMC: - Pandemic instability raises economic threats to the downside - Multiple officials are concerned that easy financial conditions are putting the country's economy in danger - Majority of participants said that they saw the threats to the outlook as broadly balanced tweet at 2:12pm: FOMC: SHOULD DOWNWARD PRESSURE ON OVERNIGHT RATES ARISE, THE FED CHAIR ACKNOWLEDGED THAT IT COULD BE REASONABLE TO CHANGE ADMINISTERED RATES AT UPCOMING MEETINGS OR EVEN WITHIN MEETINGS IF NECESSARY.
