ASX-listed aspiring West Africa gold developer, Tietto Minerals has returned a clutch of high‐grade gold hits from drilling multiple prospects outside the combined three-million-ounce resource areas at its Abujar gold project in Côte d’Ivoire. Notable intersections from the Perth-based company’s current regional and step-out drilling campaign were one metre at a bonanza average grade of 46.57 grams per tonne gold from surface and 1m going 32.58 g/t from 167m.

The assays results, which also featured 11m at 2.17 g/t from 37m including 4m at 5.09 g/t, and 6m at 2.76 g/t from 170m including 2m at 7.67 g/t, came from 58 holes for an aggregate drilling coverage of 11,740.5m across seven prospects as part of Tietto’s continuing 70,000-metre diamond drilling onslaught at Abujar and surrounds this year.

The mammoth 70,000m program is aimed at testing approximately 8.5 kilometres of the gold-bearing Abujar main shear along strike and a multitude of high-priority regional targets this year.

Tietto’s drill rods have been kicking up a dust storm over a small portion of its extensive West African tenure of more than 1,100 square kilometres, with six company‐owned diamond rigs running day and night for an output of up to 3,000m of drill core per week as it looks to expand the Abujar gold resource.

We are very pleased to be able to drill for both resource growth and category upgrades simultaneously.

Our regional and step‐out drilling, aimed to further grow our 3.02-million-ounce Abujar gold project, has returned results that continue to underline our belief that we’ve only scratched the surface of this large gold system.

We continue to hit gold mineralisation in new areas where we are drilling for the first time.

Tietto Minerals Managing Director, Dr Caigen Wang

Abujar hosts a global indicated and inferred mineral resource of 81.2 million tonnes of ore at 1.2 g/t for 3.02 million ounces of contained gold, with the AG deposit accounting for the bulk of resource estimate at 49.6 million tonnes of ore at 1.5 g/t for 2.3 million ounces of contained gold.

The company has piled on 40 high‐grade gold intersections above 50 gold gram metres from the infill diamond drilling component of the overall 70,000m campaign within AG’s higher-grade near-surface core of 22.8 million tonnes at 2.18 g/t for 1.6 million ounces of contained gold.

It hopes to complete a maiden ore reserves calculation and pre‐feasibility study for Abujar by the end of the current quarter and definitive feasibility study on an Abujar project development in the September quarter this year.
