  • Theresa May’s Team Has Discussed A Second Referendum Or A Softer Brexit If Her Deal Is Killed Next Week

    From buzzfeed.com

Some of Theresa May’s Downing Street advisers have urged her to consider a second referendum while others have argued for a softer Brexit, BuzzFeed News has learned, as splits emerge in the prime minister’s top team on how to respond in the likely event that her deal is rejected by MPs next week. Number 10 has insisted there is no Plan B if May’s deal fails, but as Westminster counts down to Tuesday’s meaningful vote on the withdrawal agreement, conversations have taken place between the PM and her closest aides on how she could proceed if it is voted down. BuzzFeed News understands that several of the PM’s senior allies have raised the ... (full story)

I reckon we will end up scrapping this Brexit and stay in the EU as the courts have already confirmed we can reverse it unilaterally without a member vote, people are fed up with our political mess we're in and rather just get on with our lives. When they talk about sovereignty being in the UK not the EU well we can already see what that means a political cluster F*** which is worse than the cluster F*** of the EU what's the improvement? None!

Whatever you English people do, for god's sake get out of the EU.
If after all this you guys stay in, the EU will get much worse, because Brussel will then recocnize they can do as they like and noone will ever leave...
It's the same with little kids, always do what you say you are gonna do, or else your authority will fade fast.

It's the plan all along, some how make a second referendum a viable option!

Wait and see, there will be increasing mention of a second referendum to make people believe that that is the right course of action. How predictable these criminals are.

If there is a second referendum watch Big Money interests coming in to overturn the original vote. Including money from people in the US.

The lack of enthusiasm, which we naturally expected to be huge, from democracy loving brexiteers.. together with the pragmatic business principle of looking before you jump.. ( eg th Last-Look process of liquidity providers in our own business), for a second referendum on Brexit has many international traders puzzled.

For us as Traders "Last Look" is the most basic of commonsense pragmatism.
However current Leaver resistance to BrexRef2 "Last Look" seems to suggest the ridiculous idea that Last Look and the Right to Change your Mind is somehow anti-democratic.
Perhaps other disagree but our impression of democracy ..is just THAT.. The right of people to change your mind. Uks been having General Elections on average every 3 years since WW2 on that very basis.
What are we missing?

I dont know why. I just have a feeling there will be another vote. I couldn't care any less either way. Voters voted on propaganda and this grandiose notion that Britain can get its sovereignty back. People are better informed now about what is involved.
The elderly can rar rar about Britain's history but the future belongs to our children not the baby boomers ego. In fact, just on that I would prefer for Britain to remain.

Well, I am elderly, I suppose. I do not "rar, rar" about history and frankly don't give a toss about Royalty and the elite like that idiot Cameron. But I do think Britain should stay in the EU which has better working rights protection albeit it has its' share of corruption and "jobs for the boys." better to be in a large group able to match the size of the USA and China rather than a collection of individual states easily individually bullied by the big boys.
Cameron let the genie out of the bottle by allowing the mass of people an opportunity to bloody the nose of government for causing people to suffer austerity etc since 2008.His true aim was to strengthen his grip on power-he screwed up big time.

Yeah tell me about it and where is the idiot now? F***s everything up and then runs away into retirement. Blair is the only one who can fix this. Best leader this country ever had.
