This log is provided for free as-is. It is designed to aid you in tracking your trading performance and providing a visual overview of your performance over a year. Here is a a brief set of instructions on how to use it:

1. The overview page - DO NOT EDIT ANY CELLS ON THIS PAGE! They are all automatically updated by the cells for the relevant months. As the year progresses and you create entries in the monthly tabs the overview figures and graphs will automatically update as well.

2. The Monthly tabs. Some of these will automatically populate and calculate data for you, some you will have to fill out yourself. Firstly here are the cells along the top of the page:

Broker - EDIT THIS CELL - Put the broker you trade through here

Prev $ - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL (EXCEPT FOR JANUARY)- this is automatically taken from the previous month balance - *EXCEPT FOR JANUARY* Enter the closing balance for the previous year in this cell on the January tab only. This starts off the year with your starting balance.

$ in/out - EDIT THIS CELL - Put any money you add or take out of the account here, if you take money out put a minus figure here - eg -150

Starting $ - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - it will be calculated from the previous 2 cells to give you your month starting figure

Risk - EDIT THIS CELL - Put your risk/trade here - eg 2% 

Trades - EDIT THIS CELL - put the total amount of all trades you take here

Winners - EDIT THIS CELL - put your winners here

Losers - EDIT THIS CELL - put your losers here

Win % - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - This calulates your win %

$ +/-  - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - This calculates how much you are up or down in $

% +/- - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - This calculates how much you are up or down in %

Balance - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - This is the current balance of your account as a result of your trading

Now for the heading cells:

The auto updating cells are already populated here so please do not edit them. Here is an explanation of each cell:

Date - put the date here

Inst - put the instrument you are trading here - eg EUR/USD or WTI Crude or MSFT (Microsoft)

B/S - this is a drop down menu where you can indicate if you are long or short

Signal - Here you can put your signal for the trade eg PIN, BUOB, touch etc. 

Trend - I put with or against or NA here if the market isn't trending

Entry - Put your entry price here

S/L - Put your stop loss price here

A risk (available to risk) - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - this is your available amount to risk based on your risk% multiplied by the current balance. 

Risk - put here how much you are risking on the trade. If it is above your 'A risk' then the number in the cell will turn red!

Risk % - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - this will tell you exactly how much of your account is at risk on this trade if you have rounded up or down to the nearest lots. Again if the amount risked breaks your MM rules the figure in the cell will turn red. 

T/P - Put your target profit from this trade, if you have multiple targets separate them with commas, if you don't have a target profit just leave it blank.

Reward - put here how much you stand to make on this trade if your T/P(s) is hit. Again leave it blank if you don't have a T/P. If the amount risked is greater than the potential reward the figure will turn brown. 

Swap - put any swap or commission that was charged or credited by your broker

Result - put the $ amount that was the result of the trade. For a negative figure put a - before it. 

Balance - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - this is your balance as a result of the trade

% +/- - DO NOT EDIT THIS CELL - this is the impact of the trade on your account in terms of % 

Notes - Write here how you feel about the trade, if it was a loser why you think it did, what did you learn etc.
