Trade in one session, max two per day (London start until mid New York looks like the best moment to trade)

Don't trade ahead of important data release (es NFP)

Trade majors and trade one pair at time (max 2 if the open position makes profit and profits are covered)

Observe the market during the initial 30 minutes of the session
(note that during gap times false moves might be seen)

Avoid trading if market trend is not clear to you

Buy close to the daily lows, sell near the daily highs (try to use limits orders instead of market orders -sometimes a few pips can make the difference- and be patient if they are not immediately filled)

Possibly avoid mid-range trading, and if orders are not filled, don't chase the market, there are chances every day and in every session

Enter first with one mini lot (leave at least 80% of your margin available)

Keep stop below lows / above highs, or 30 - 35 pips from your entry level

If position makes profit for at least 20 pips, keep stop at entry
let gains run, cut losses

if position makes profit you can:

-take profit after a 40 – 60 pips gain
-trail your stop closer to current market levels to save some gain and let the position run still
-close half position and keep stop at entry on the remaining position
-if trend is established and clearly in your favour (exceeds 40 - 60 pips gain) try to add another lot on dip/strenght and trail the stop to save some gain

if position is negative you can:

-enter 35 – 40 pips below / above your entry point with a 2X lot (double size of the entry lot)
-stop it and wait for next session/ day/ time and re – start
-hedge it on the opposite direction

When you have gained for the day or gains are locked, stop trading
When you have been stopped twice for the day, stop trading

Concering the hedging, I realize it can be very useful, but I still can't understand when is better to hedge, stop or add the position.
This is still the hardest part for me.
Hope practice and suggestions will help in the future.
